Three people are dead and 14 others are injured following a mass shooting at Buford's on West 6th Street early Sunday, officials said. The suspect was fatally shot by police officers at the scene. The gunman was identified as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, the Austin Police Department confirmed. He first entered the U.S in 2000 on a B-2 tourist visa and became a lawful permanent resident six years later after marrying a U.S. citizen, according to DHS. He became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2013, the department said. Diagne was originally from Senegal, according to multiple people briefed on the investigation who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the investigation. The suspect was wearing a sweatshirt that said “Property of Allah,” and another shirt with an Iranian flag design, according to a law enforcement official who spoke to The Associated Press. According to CBS News, officials executed a search warrant at the gunman's residence and found an "Iranian flag and pictures of Iranian leaders."
