Caterham 270R 2019 Snetterton 300 Round 7

29th June 2019. Round 7. 2nd place. Qualified 5th. Another great start saw me into 3rd off the line and leading by the end of the first lap. The next 25 mins saw Dan French and I swap the lead twice a lap and slowly but surely break away from everyone except Matt Sheppard, who drove brilliantly to close in a catch the all important slipstream again. Very relaxed and orderly. I controlled the last lap, letting Dan lead until the Bentley straight where I drafted past. I got a good exit from the last corner but, credit to Dan, he did too and drafted back past me just before the chequered flag. The gap - a mighty 0.006 seconds. My first win of the season would have to wait. Really pleased with the drive. All credit to Dan and Matt for theirs.
