FOX 17 News is in Code Red Alert for possible severe weather Wednesday in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. Isolated showers and weak thunderstorms are possible early Wednesday morning. This round of storms is not expected to bring severe weather to the Midstate, but it could slow down the morning commute. Wednesday afternoon into the evening is the key time line for severe weather in Middle Tennessee. A strong cold front will move through, bringing wind, hail, heavy rain and possibly a brief tornado. All of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky are in a slight risk, level 2/5, for severe weather Wednesday afternoon into the first half of the night as the front approaches. Storms will start in our northwestern counties around lunch time, track through the Nashville area mid-afternoon and push through the Cumberland Plateau by dinner time. The storms should clear by early Thursday morning, making way for cooler weather. https://fox17.com/weather/severe-weat... _______________ Follow! Like! Share! Subscribe!
