As students are getting ready to head back to school, the CDC is expected to announce new COVID guidelines. The changes reportedly include a reduced focus on testing and social distancing. Multiple news outlets say a draft document of the guidelines indicates that students who are not fully vaccinated and are exposed to COVID will have to mask for 10 days instead of quarantining. Former US Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos, joins to talk more about these possible updates to CDC guidance for schools and whether she thinks these guidelines are a step in the right direction. On another note, in major cities nationwide, including NYC, Chicago and Los Angeles, schools are facing shrinking enrollment. DeVos tells us what she thinks is driving this decrease. City schools are not the only ones facing lower enrollment, as NBC reports that there are 4 million fewer students in college than a decade ago. DeVos shares her thoughts on that. She fills us in on other news she is following. EWTN News Nightly provides the latest news and analysis from a Catholic perspective.
