John Robert Charlton, 39, received a maximum sentence of 27 years and nine months in prison for killing and dismembering nurse Ingrid Lyne, 40, and leaving her remains in a random trash can in early April 2016.In court, a judge revealed she would have given Charlton a harsher sentence had she been able under state guidelines.'Nothing can soften the cruelty with which you carried out this murder,' Superior Court Judge Julie Spector told Charlton, CBS affiliate, KIRO, reports. A horrified Seattle local informed police at the time after he found the victim's body left in a bin. Charlton and Lyne met on an online dating site and had only been seeing eachother for a few weeks prior to her death, the killer told police during questioning.
