President Joe Biden issued an executive order banning all Russian oil imports, toughening the toll on Russia's economy in retaliation for its invasion of Ukraine. Biden also acknowledged it would bring costs to Americans, particularly at the gas pump. According to AAA, the national average gas price stands at $4.06 per gallon. The action follows pleas by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to U.S. and Western officials to cut off the imports.
