Washington State Senate Celebrates India’s 77th Republic Day, Passes Special Resolution | N18G भारत के 77वें गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर अमेरिका की वॉशिंगटन स्टेट सीनेट ने एक विशेष सत्र बुलाकर प्रस्ताव संख्या 8674 पारित किया। यह प्रस्ताव भारतीय मूल की स्टेट सीनेटर मनका धिंगरा द्वारा पेश किया गया, जिसे भारतीय मूल की ही स्टेट सीनेटर वंदना स्लेटर का समर्थन मिला। इस प्रस्ताव में भारत की मजबूत लोकतांत्रिक परंपराओं, वॉशिंगटन स्टेट में भारतीय-अमेरिकी समुदाय के योगदान और राज्य के साथ बहुआयामी संबंधों को मजबूत करने में सिएटल स्थित भारतीय वाणिज्य दूतावास की भूमिका को सराहा गया। कई अन्य स्टेट सीनेटरों ने भी भारत-अमेरिका मैत्री का समर्थन किया और भारत को दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा लोकतंत्र बताते हुए उसकी भूमिका की प्रशंसा की। In honor of India’s 77th Republic Day, the Washington State Senate convened a special session and passed Resolution No. 8674 celebrating India’s Republic Day. The resolution was introduced by Indian-origin State Senator Manka Dhingra and supported by fellow Indian-origin State Senator Vandana Slatter. The resolution recognized India’s strong democratic traditions, the contributions of the Indian-American community in Washington State, and the role of the India Consulate in Seattle in strengthening multifaceted relations between India and the state.
