Growing Giant Pumpkins 2022 Episode 1 - Soil samples, and greenhouse construction

Trying to grow a 2000lb Giant Pumpkin - week-by-week series EPISODE 1 Getting your soil sampled at a lab is an important step to get your nutrients in balance and being able to calculate exactly what you should add to the soil in the spring. So I collected some soil samples. Pumpkins don't like cold weather so if you want to get a jump start on the season it's a good idea to have some kind of greenhouse. This one is constructed with 2x4s, PVC pipe, greenhouse plastic, screws, staples, duct tape, and zip-ties. It was time to get the old painters plastic off from Home Depot, and replace it with some real greenhouse plastic If you want to grow a big pumpkin this year it's a good time to get started.
