NEW Evidence for the Perpetual Virginity of Mary!

This week one of my friends converted to the Catholic faith. He converted after finding evidence that jews before christ would ask God to do certain things based on the merits of rebecca. That got me thinking…. How many things could we be missing in OT Jewish texts? There are obvious nods to the Catholic faith in ancient judaism. Texts like the Book of Enoch writes about praying to angels. In Maccabees we find Judas offering sacrifices to atone for the sins of those already dead. What else could there be? To my surprise while reading a first century text called “The Lives of the Prophets, I found support for the perpetual virginity of Mary. Protestants and evangelicals say that it’s a late development. Is it possible that this tradition existed in the first century?
