Over the years I have served as a missionary and pastor and Bible College instructor and coordinator of a cooperative pastoral prayer group that united in purpose and love as many as 65 city pastors from many diverse denominational and ethnic backgrounds to reach the lost for Christ. I was also involved for a time taking Bibles behind the Iron Curtain to deliver to the persecuted Church. Nevertheless, God called me primarily to this Scripture music ministry. For many decades I could not find anyone interested in singing and memorizing (with the exception of the Psalms) whole chapters and books of the Bible. I sought God many times in prayer and yielded this ministry back to him "laying it over and over on the altar" as Abraham did with the son of promise Isaac. For many years my wife and I have invested time, money and energy into this calling and project. Our financial contributions and those of a few family members add up to enough money to buy a luxury home. I distinctly remember weeping as I worshiped God in a church service singing the chorus "You're All I Need" as I told him I wanted to build his House, not mine. I write this in 2025 and now it seems many many Christians are beginning to write Bible verses to music. I have longed for this day to come. Not only are Christians writing their own Scripture songs but those with no musical ability, including children, are using AI platforms to prompt "robots" to write Scripture music in almost any style imaginable with a few prompts and a click of a mouse. This is actually wonderful because they are engaging God's Word and being somewhat creative. My hope is that parents will continue to help their children learn to sing and to play instruments. It is amazing for the brain and for physical and emotional health to do these things. Robots of all kinds will be everywhere soon. The potential downside is relying on them too much and becoming lazy. Due to the need to increase production of the books of the Bible, I decided in November 2025 to judiciously utilize AI - but only as a cost effective replacement of instrumentalists and singers. Over the years, I have paid tens of thousands of dollars to studio professionals to play every type of instrument imaginable. They are amazing and I am grateful for their work. The world renowned multi-instrumentalist Pedro Eustache who performs on Disney projects as well as live with Hans Zimmer and Yanni and others has kindly worked on my projects as have Grammy nominated singers. Though I have many concerns about AI in general and about AI taking over the music industry, I have decided to make use of AI, at times, to replace instrumentalists and singers. I do this as a good steward of the financial contributions given in trust and love to this ministry. HOWEVER! ALL MELODIES WILL ALWAYS CONTINUE TO BE HUMAN COMPOSED.
