(17 Oct 2015) Refugees and migrants continued crossing from Serbia into Croatia in the early hours of Saturday, despite Hungary's decision to shut its border with Croatia. Buses brought migrants and refugees to Berkasovo, on Serbia's side of the border, where they waited to cross. The Hungarian government shut its southern border with Croatia at midnight on Friday (2200 GMT) to the free flow of migrants "to protect the citizens of Hungary and Europe." Croatia said it would begin taking migrants to its border with neighbouring Slovenia to circumvent Hungary, from where they could continue their journey west.
