Hong Kong protesters shoot fireballs at police (ASL - 11.18.19)

Transcript For six months, antigovernment protest have been going on in Hong Kong. However officials say the siege that broke out at Hong Kong Polytechnic University has been the most violent since the demonstration started. Since last week,, protesters have used the campus as a base of operation. And now police say protesters have expanded their arsenal. On Sunday protesters were filmed shooting a flaming ball from a self-made catapult. The protesters were shooting at police from a position inside Poly U. Last week a police officer was shot in the leg with an arrow. At least sixty-six people have been injured. Police allowed Hong Kong Red Cross onto the Poly U campus to treat the injured. A police spokesperson said "Hong Kong's rule of law has been pushed to the brink of total collapse" and he pleaded with protesters to work with law enforcement to "put an end to violence before it is too late."
