Flouting of coronavirus regulations by NSW politician ‘symbolises sheer arrogance’

While millions of Australians “have to forgo their Easter break” and miss out on seeing the cherished people in their lives, one NSW politician has decided he’s “above the law” and flouted the coronavirus restrictions says Sky News host Chris Smith. NSW Arts Minister Don Harwin was caught ignoring the Prime Minister's stay-at-home directive with the Liberal powerbroker pictured staying at his Central Coast holiday house, almost 100 kilometres from his Sydney abode. The Minister said he wanted fresh air and his beachside house had more space than his inner-city apartment. “It's not a biggie in the scheme of things at the moment, but it symbolises what the NSW government has become infamous for... sheer arrogance," Mr Smith said. "So millions of Australians have to forgo their Easter break, their last swim for the season, those magical places and people we see at this time, but not Don Harwin". Image: Getty
