Or let someone who travels a lot in planes, convince you to join them while they fly one? Never actually ever been trained? I am not a contrarian, but I am willing to stand up for my opinions especially when it involves the profession that I love. The seemingly irrational distrust of physicians is costing $$ at least and lives at most. It all started with advertising eroding physician authority so that those selling health related products could thrive... By using the broken healthcare system we are forced to use against the physician victims of the same system. Why see a non-health trained X coach? (put diagnosis here) Why buy X powder/pill/tea/drink without knowing the content? (put non-regulated substance here) Why take internet advice from total strangers who don't know your medical history? Because "doctors don't know" and "doctors won't tell you" (which isn't true by the way ) But we at least know what we don't know which is still more than what others have ever known...
