It’s taken five years, but an embattled bill to ban indoor smoking in all workplaces and public spaces finally received a vote by the Kentucky House on Friday. Rep. Susan Westrom (D-Lexington) has championed the effort from the beginning. During the floor debate about her House Bill 145, she criticized a proposed amendment, saying it conflicted with her goal of protecting workers from second-hand smoke.
