After a tough loss in game one, the Yankees bounce back with a nail-biter win over the Phillies in the second half of today’s doubleheader by a score of 3-1. Heading into the 7th (last inning in doubleheader games),the score was knotted at 1. The only offense to that point was a Luke Voit solo home run (4). But then with runners on first and second, Mike Tauchman doubled in the go-ahead run — followed two batters later by a Gio Urshela RBI single to give the Yankees a 3-1 lead. Zack Britton would close it out in the 9th. The Yankees improve to 9-2 on the young season and will look to take the series tomorrow at 6:05 PM EST with Jordan Montgomery on the mound.
