Three Ways to Hide Jump Cuts in Final Cut Pro In this video, we'll take a look at three methods fro hiding jump cuts when editing talking head videos. When you have edit out parts of your video, the cut can be very apparent and jarring to your audience. To help minimize the distraction, we'll take a look at three ways to hide these cuts, also called jump cuts in Final Cut Pro. Method one is by using the Flow transition. This transition takes the last frame of your first clip, and the first frame of your following clip, and interpolates and creates frames for a fluid cut. Method two is by cropping in on your video, making it appear as another camera angle. Method three is by using multiple cameras and switching between angles. While jump cuts are common, and not necessarily bad, hiding them will make your video flow much smoother, and appear much more professional.
