WATCH: Schumer says Trump 'resisted' reopening government

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Democratic congressional leaders, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, made a plea to President Trump to end the government shutdown on Friday in a White House meeting. But, according to Schumer, Trump said that he would keep the government closed "for a very long period of time, months or even years."
