Partial Afghan poll count shows Karzai in lead - 26 Aug 09

Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Karzai's main rival who has presented what he says is evidence of fraud, trails closely behind with 39 per cent. But election officials have stressed that the results may change, with any final announcement coming after all allegations of fraud are investigated.
