Sycamore and Wood Canyon Gravel Ride at Point Mugu State Park [4k Full Ride POV]

Hey there! We're in Ventura County, California at Point Mugu State Park and the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Let's do something different today and take the gravel bike actually off-road on some gravel fireroads! In early fall of 2025 I re-rode my route from Newbury Park to Sycamore Cove State Beach that was blocked by high water at the creek crossings in the canyon when I last filmed it in March of 2024    • Sycamore Canyon Mixed Surface Gravel Ride ...   Even beyond my typical full route videos, we get to ride the full route of two separate canyons between the starting and ending points. With the chapters you can choose your own riding adventure! First we'll take the route from the park entrance at Potrero Rd. that takes the big downhill into Sycamore Canyon, past Danielson Ranch and then heads to the bottom gate at Sycamore Campground. After we complete that we'll reset up the canyon after the downhill and take the offshoot Ranch Center Fireroad that takes a longer detour though Wood Canyon, past climbing options on Guadalasca and Overlook and then rejoins the original way a couple miles from the end. I rode this later in the afternoon so I apologize that the sun is in the lens a bit and the contrast is a little low in spots.
