i'm 26 & quit my job 1 year ago // my honest advice if you want to quit your 9-5 with no backup plan

My 1 year update after quitting my asian parent approved job. Time flew by so fast it doesn't even feel like one year. In this video, I share my life and everything that I experienced and learnt while unemployed, which I sincerely hope can help someone who is in a similar position. My final thoughts (just my opinion, really): yes, it is stressful, but you alreardy knew that there would be trade offs. as long as you're living honestly and not harming anyone (advice from my driver during my recent Penang durian trip), please just ignore other people's opinions. Everyone is busy living their own lives and probably give ZERO shits about you. Don't let other people's judgments or opinions of you determine how you live your life. You're the one stuck living your life. if you hate your life, remember that it is a privilege to even be able to consider quitting your job, resetting you life, or looking for other opportunities. So, if you are fortunate enough to have that privilege, use it. don't compare your life to someone else's because everyone has different priorities and definitions of success. My friend told me she loved her life, but that same life sounds honestly quite miserable to me. career paths don't have to be linear, and a break doesn't define your future.
