SOS Free Nutritarian Granola

Missing cereal on the Nutritarian lifestyle? Not any more! You can indulge in this granola for easy breakfasts and desserts. It is whole grain, includes nuts and seeds and best of all it is salt, oil and sugar free! Nutritarian Granola Based on a recipe from Dr Fuhrman Ingredients 1/2 cup raw almond butter 3 medjool dates covered with water and microwaved 1 minute, drained One medium Apple, peeled, cored and quartered One ripe banana One and a half teaspoons ground Ceylon cinnamon One and a half teaspoons vanilla bean powder 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 4 cups old fashioned oats One cup Raw pecans, walnuts or almonds or a mix of each 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds 1/4 cup unhulled sesame seeds 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut 1 cup currants or raisins Instructions Preheat oven to 300° Fahrenheit Place first 7 ingredients in a high-power blender and blend until smooth and creamy. In a large bowl mix the oats, nuts, seeds and coconut. Add the Blended mixture to the dry ingredients either mixing by hand for on lowest speed in a mixer with the paddle attachment.Transfer the mixture to to parchment lined baking pans. Spread and even layers. Bake for 40 minutes stirring twice during baking. Mix in the currants or raisins and allow to cool on baking pans. Store in airtight containers and enjoy dry with coffee or tea, or in a bowl with berries and plant-based milk or layered in a yogurt parfait.
