Silver Rate on Dhanteras: The ongoing surge in gold and silver prices has worsened the condition of people. For the past several days, the rate of silver was much higher than gold. But on the occasion of Dhanteras, the surging prices of silver have been curbed. On Friday, silver prices fell by 6%, the biggest fall in the last six months as precious metals have recovered from their recent rally. Silver recovered slightly towards the end of the day, but it was on its way to close with a decline of 4.75%. According to IBJA, silver was priced at Rs 169230 per kg on October 17.
