Vallarai Keerai Recipes Vallarai Keerai Chutney / Thuvaiyal : It goes well with hot rice topped with a tsp of ghee or sesame seed oil. It can be had as a side dish for dosa and idli. Vallarai keerai podi As its a dry powder, add a tsp of ghee while serving this with hot rice. If you are using this as a gun powder for Idly / Dosas, add few tsps of Sesame oil and serve. Vallarai Keerai Chutney In a pan heat oil, add the urad dal & dry red chilli fry until golden brown and remove.Now add the shallots, garlic, ginger, curry leaves, hing and fry well. Add the keerai/ leaves and mix well. Wait for the leaves to whilt. Make a powder of urad dal &; dry red chilli, now add the keerai mix and blend everything together until combined. Check for salt.
