One of the skills you must master in Cold Waters with DotMod is the ability to utilize what you have, and one of the more intimidating setups is a lone US frigate... vs the biggest battlecruiser in the world, the Kirov class CGN. It has S-300 Naval SAM system to defend itself from lame American ASMs like the subsonic Harpoon not to mention the typical volume-over-precision Russian approach to CIWS, and the standard chaff. But there is a way to get hits, and it is counter-intuitive to how you think the system works. Your first instinct would be to spam the Harpoons as fast as you can hoping to overwhelm their defenses. But I am asking you to test a different approach: Count out "one-thousand-one one-thousand-two one-thousand-three" between launches. Here, I am running OLP long hull with standard loadout, 16 Harpoons and 24 SM-1s. Let's try both the spam method, and the "relaxed" method. You may be surprised at the results.
