People and the Planet: The Future of Development in a Post-COVID-19 World
The High-Level Dialogue “People and the Planet: How can we shape the future of development in a post-COVID-19 World?" was organized by UNDP and UNEP and took place on 17 June 2020. Achim Steiner, UNDP Administrator and Inger Andersen, UNEP Executive Director, were joined by Joseph Stiglitz, Professor at Columbia University and recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences; Raya Haffar El Hassan, Former Minister of Finance and Interior of Lebanon; and Bina Agarwal, Professor of Development Economics and Environment, Global Development Institute, University of Manchester, to discuss the future of development.
