Panchwati - The city of Nasik has great significance in Hindu religion, and Panchvati has its own share of legends associated with it. It is believed that when Lord Ram along with Sita and Lakshman went into exile for 14 years, they made Panchavati their home. The word literally means 'Garden of Five Banyan Trees'. The trees can still be seen in the temple premises near Sita Gufaa and are believed to have existed even during the times of Ramayana. Tapowan - Tapovan is a one of the beautifull place among so many sightseeing . according to Ramana lord ram ,laxman and sita maata ware taken shelter in this place for 12years. There is a laxman temple also, where laxman cut nose of surpankha. According to Ramayan lord ran has done all yagyan with all muni rishi .Here people celebrate kumbh Mela once in 12year in behalf these yagyan done by Lord ram.Best time to visit this place is winter. I will suggest not to visit this place on summer Pandavleni Caves historical place - a must visit place if one is travelling to nasik, it is adjacent to phalke smarak. only concern is smell of toilet in few caves whichis because of few over enthusiastic tourist who want to leave their mark of visit there. kalaram mandir - Situated in the Panchvati area , this is a beautiful temple made of black sandstone . Legend has it that Lord Ram lived here for a few years in the 10th year of his vanvaas from Ayodhya . The deities of the Lord and Lakshman , Sita are a treat to watch and are considered "swayambhu" appeared on their own and not made by man . Beautiful architecture inside the temple . Built in 16th century Sundarnarayan temple - Sundarnarayan temple is located at the corner of Ahillyabai Holkar Bridge in Panchavati area of Nashik. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu adorned by paintings & intricate carvings. However, outer layer of the main sanctum and sanctorum has been removed completely now-a-days for renovation purpose. Bhakti Dham temple This is the temple with idols of many gods and goddess. You would enjoy the peace here. No hustle of the huge crowd. The place is situated in the heart of the nasik city and is a great place to worship and spend some time alone. You can enjoy the peace it provides. You will feel refreshed. Everything about this place is admirable. someshwar water fall and mahadev mandir While you reach this place you will see a nice silent river where few people are washing their daily cloths, few people selling the bhutta (corn), cucumber etc. And suddenly when you peep down the bright you see a mad gushing waterfall. There are stairs by the side to walk down and enjoy the waterfall. It is a beautiful sight to see this waterfall merge into the river again.
