Full Week Family Trip to Orlando Florida Without Theme Parks | A Relaxing Florida Getaway with Kids

This video captures our full family trip to Orlando, Florida — a relaxing, park-free vacation filled with fun, great food, and unforgettable moments. Instead of the usual theme park rush, we spent the weekend unwinding in a spacious 10-bedroom vacation rental designed for large families or groups. The house featured uniquely themed bedrooms, including Harry Potter, Super Mario, Angry Birds, and Mickey Mouse. It also had a fully equipped Star Wars-themed game room, a private backyard pool, and a hot tub. The best part? The home included access to a nearby resort-style waterpark with something for every age group: a zero-entry lagoon pool, two waterslides, a lazy river, a splash pad for younger kids, and a massive shared hot tub. It was the perfect way to enjoy Florida’s sunshine without the theme park crowds or expense. We planned a few family-friendly day trips to round out the weekend: • Kennedy Space Center, where we explored real spacecraft, learned about space missions, and enjoyed interactive exhibits. • Rock Springs at Kelly Park, a natural Florida spring with a slow, scenic tubing route that winds through clear water and lush surroundings. • Discovery Cove, a peaceful all-inclusive day resort with dolphin swims, snorkeling in a coral reef, a lazy river, and tropical bird encounters. • Disney Springs, for a casual night of shopping, walking around, and enjoying the atmosphere. Food was a big part of the experience too. We cooked dinner most nights in the fully stocked kitchen, which made group meals easy and affordable. On other nights, we visited a few iconic Orlando eateries: • Portillo’s, for Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and their famous chocolate cake shake. • White Castle, for classic sliders and a quick bite on the go. • Giordano’s, for deep-dish pizza big enough to feed the whole crew. This trip was the perfect balance of adventure, rest, and quality family time — without the stress of crowded parks or long lines.
