The dark, gritty action game Max Payne 3 continues the tale of former New York City detective, Max Payne. Still haunted by the memories of his traumatic past, Max begins a new life protecting a wealthy family in Brazil. When gangs target the family however, Max is forced to fight once again... Max, who has just arrived in his apartment in Sao Paulo, finishes drinking his alcohol and heads back to bed. It soon forwards to the future, where he confronts the mutilated Becker who is dying and trying to get away from Max.
