Tamils and Biharis aren’t fighting, but what is fuelling the fear and fury?

Rumours of violence against North Indian migrants began to grip Tamil Nadu mid-February. Fake videos claimed that locals from Coimbatore and Tiruppur — both migrant hubs — are brutally attacking Biharis. Migrants in Tiruppur and Coimbatore that ThePrint spoke to said that they are treated well and have not faced any violence. But despite the state doing all it can to stop disinformation , they are still worried for their safety.
