Make Uttapam in Minutes! Easy, Healthy, Vegetarian/Vegan & Delicious South Indian Recipe!

How to Make Dosa Batter:    • How to Make Dosa/Uttapam/Idli Batter At Ho...   Hi Everyone! This is one of my favorite meals because it is so satisfying while also being nutritious and delicious. It is also SO easy to make, and one 8-inch uttapam is only about 130 calories! I hope you guys try this recipe, and dosa will be coming soon, so look out for that recipe! Recipe for Uttapam (Brooklyn Style): Makes Four Uttapams of 8-inch (20-cm) diameter. If you want to make bigger uttapam, use more batter! You can also use any veggies you have other than these three to put on top of your uttapam to customize it! Ingredients: One cup of Dosa Batter (video on my channel!) One small Red Onion One Roma Tomato One Jalapeño (or any green pepper) Four Teaspoons of Olive Oil Optional Four tablespoons of Garlic-Infused Red Chili Powder (recipe coming soon!) Directions: 1. Chop your tomato, onion and jalapeño into small pieces. 2. Place a small-size pan (mine has an 8-inch diameter) over medium-high heat. Add a drop of oil and use a paper towel to wipe the pan (to grease it). 3. Once your pan is hot, mix your batter well and then add a quarter cup of batter to your pan, and spread it out evenly. 4. Sprinkle a fourth of your tomato, onion and jalapeño on top of the batter. Again, you can use any veggies you like to customize it! 5. Distribute a teaspoon of olive oil evenly around the circumference of the uttapam. 6. Cover the pan with a lid for two to three minutes. 7. Uncover the pan. Optional: sprinkle the garlic-infused red chili powder for a little kick! (Recipe coming soon for this powder!) 8. Flip the uttapam to its other side and cover the pan with a lid again for one to two minutes. 9. The uttapam is ready! Transfer it to a plate and eat it fresh.
