Lock Haven, Pennsylvania Part 1 | Google Maps Exploring Another day, another inevitably abandoned Youtube project. Sometimes when I'm bored I like to have a look around on Google Maps. I usually pick a random town and see what it has to offer. I check out the sights, the sounds, the scenery and the eateries. I have a look at areas of interest and also, inevitably, areas of disinterest. It's actually quite a lot of fun so I thought I'd record it. Lock Haven is the town that I stumbled across this time. Hugging the Susquehanna River and Bald Eagle Creek (yes that's a real thing), Lock Haven is the county seat of Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Originally laid out in 1833, Lock Haven prospered in the 19th century through wood trading, it's produce being used to build houses as well as being floated down to Chesapeake Bay and Baltimore for use in ship building. With a population of around 8,100, Lock Haven is home to Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania (LHU) and the famous Lock Haven Bald Eagles. There are several other attractions in Lock Haven such as the Piper Aviation Museum, and Heisey House, which is home to Clinton County Historical Society. I hope you enjoy watching the video, I had fun making it. Drop a like or leave a comment, there will probably be 2 more parts to this Lock Haven look around so come back for those.
