Surath established Tridebi's(ত্রিদেবী) temple in this jungle area, i.e. Temple of Mahakali, Mahasaraswati and Mahalakshmi. Now, along with them Ashram of Medhas Muni, a Temple of Mahakal Bhairab(মহাকাল ভৈরব) is also there. There were 16 temples and only two are present: Shyamarupa Mandir and Shib Mandir. Both Garh Jungle and Deul Park are next to each other. If you are looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city, It is quiet and serene from journey to destination. and then loads of trees on side which would already give you the appeal of a forest. Use navigator on your phone, it helps accurately. But, navigator can't help so well once you have entered the kaccha road. Best way is to book a car from Durgapur. all the drivers know the route very well. At the temple, the priest will guide you through. At the Deul park, you can stay at the accommodation inside the park(Deul Eco resort). Fooding can be availed only if you are lodging. Outside the park gate, you could buy some snacks and have tea. Inside there are rides and boating facility . The park is not too big but well maintained. Beautiful flowers blooming. a toy train is moving inside the park, few orange tree can seen inside the duel park. You can sit spend some time, look at the lake. Then through the other gate you can go to the Ajay river. Some bathe in the river and some at a distance cooked for their picnic. Here, I preferred to sit and then to lie down on the sand and enjoy the quiet surrounding. With friends, the trip became extra special.
