Winter is ahead, which means you won’t be able to do without warm socks. Nothing warms feet better than socks knitted with love by your own hands. There is nothing complicated about knitting. You just need to figure out what's what. Moreover, there are methods when you don’t need to knit the heel and use 5 knitting needles. When worn, socks are subject to the most stress compared to other clothing. The main problem is worn heels and toes. Therefore, you need to use strong yarn or add acrylic thread or something similar. The method that I will show does not require any special knitting skills; you only need to be able to knit straight rows, knit and purl stitches. The base will be a rectangle with a length equal to the length of the foot and a width of 19 cm, but due to knitting it will taper towards the toe. To start knitting, you need to calculate the required number of loops. To do this you need to knit a sample. I cast on 20 stitches and knitted a small piece. The result is 10 cm of knitting, which means that there are 20 loops in 10 cm, and 2 loops in 1 cm. 19x2=38 loops. It is convenient to use knitting needles on a fishing line. I cast on 38 stitches on the knitting needles and knitted 10 cm in stockinette stitch. This is when all rows of knit and purl stitches are knitted only with knit stitches. Due to this, the knitting is dense and voluminous. For the next 15 cm I knitted 1 knit stitch and 1 purl stitch with an elastic band. The elastic tightened the fabric and narrowed it, although the number of loops remained the same. In the last row I knitted every two loops together, then finished knitting. Assembly: First I sewed up the toe from the heel side. Then I connected the front part at a distance of 15 cm where the elastic is. She pulled off her sock. The seam is at the top. Using this principle, you can knit men's and children's socks. To do this, you need to measure the width and length of your foot.
