Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss CAB with NE CM's, confirms Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Finance and Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma believes that the Citizenship Amendment Bill would be passed in the ongoing Winter session of the Parliament. Sarma also confirmed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be holding deliberations with Chief Ministers of the Northeast states tomorrow over the introduction of the revised version of the Citizenship Amendment Bill. The BJP strongman said that CAB is of utmost necessity in Assam for the sake of the indigenous Assamese people. Sarma said that the total number of people who will apply for citizenship under CAB is clear after the publication of NRC.
