I first heard this song in 2006 and was busking - a friend and I had time to spare after finishing school and got our buskerâs licenses. We played all around Luxembourg city for a few weeks and made enough for McDonaldâs chicken nuggets and beers. One day he played Green Eyes for me, and I was struck by the intimacy and quiet power of this song. We started playing it more and more while busking and during gigs at bars, and it became part of my regular rota of songs. Iâm Patrick Lawrence, a singer-songwriter from Brisbane Australia.
