Rare Ravi Varma paintings on display
The National Gallery of Modern Art is hosting an exhibition of 131 lithographs by Raja Ravi Varma. Art collector Ganesh V Shivaswamy has curated the collection and sourced most of the paintings from his private collection. The exhibition seeks to highlight Ravi Verma's lithographic paintings which have found a place in many homes. It was Ravi Verma's effort to have his paintings reproduced through lithography that made him a household name in South India.
