Boris Johnson heckled by MPs as he apologises for alleged Christmas party video

Boris Johnson begins Prime Minister's Questions by saying he understands and "shares the anger" a video has caused "up and down the country", after senior officials were filmed laughing about a "fictional" Christmas party involving cheese and wine. The Prime Minister says it must be "infuriating" adding: "I was also furious and I apologise unreservedly for the offence it had caused up and down the country, and I apologise for the impression it gives." He stresses that he has been told "there was no party, and no Covid rules were broken".
