Authorities have made an arrest in connection with the shooting death of a Selma police officer. Javonte Stubbs, an 18-year-old former football standout at Selma High School, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals and SBI Agents near Tuscaloosa, Alabama early Wednesday morning. Stubbs is charged with two counts of capital murder and one count of attempted murder. He is being held in jail without bond. Stubbs is accused of shooting and killing 25-year-old Selma Police Officer Marquis Moorer and injuring Moorer's "significant other" on Tuesday.
