3 Brothers Ages 6-9 Die After Falling Into Icy Pond During Texas Winter Storm: I am heartbroken to report that 3 brothers drowned in Texas, a devastating tragedy involving their mother Cheyenne Hangaman, amid the chaos of Bonham Texas news. What started as a family playing in the snow during the Texas winter storm of 2026 turned into a nightmare when a Fannin County icy pond claimed the lives of three young kings. This story is heavy on my heart, family. We are talking about 6-year-old Howard, 8-year-old Kaleb, and 9-year-old EJ Doss, who lost their lives. The youngest fell in first, and his two big brothers jumped in to save him, which is the ultimate definition of being your brother’s keeper. Their mother Cheyenne Hangaman told the heartbreaking story of how she jumped in to try and save her babies but the 3 boys drown frozen pond because the conditions were just too severe. Even a local hero and Bonham High School coach rescue attempt could not bring them back.
