World's Most Powerful Turbine Produces Energy For The First Time - Vestas V236

Vestas has finalised installation of the V236, 15 Megawatt prototype turbine at the Østerild National test centre for large wind turbines in Western Jutland, Denmark. The prototype has successfully produced its first kWh of power and will now undergo an extensive test and verification programme to ensure reliability before full type certification and serial production begins.
