CHAPTERS BELOW: Fun experiment to see how long it takes me to work back up to serious weight on my best lift (which I stopped doing for years). Muscle memory is always a term I've heard tossed around but have never had a chance to truly put it to the test. After working up to a 485 pound squat after graduating college, I realized that no one cares about my squat weight except myself and it was tough on the joints, took forever to set up, and made me so sore - so I stopped.
