মারাকানার সেই ট্র্যাজেডি | The Maracanazo | World Cup Specials | Ep-4

16 July 1950. The final match of the fourth season of the World Cup is going to be held at Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The reason why this match is called the last match and not the final match here is that the 1950 World Cup was played in a round robin tournament format. Conventional rules specific one-match finals are not held in this format. The winner of the highest points between the matches of the second round will be declared the champion. After all the calculations, the match between Brazil and Uruguay is going to be held at the end of the tournament. Brazil, who have been in great form throughout the tournament, are at the top of the points table. And so this match turned into an unwritten final. The historic match, which was listed in the Guinness Book of Records with an official attendance of 173,850, still holds the record for the highest attendance in football history. But if we consider the unofficial number of spectators, the attendance of that match was more than 200,000. ------------------------------------------------------------ This is our 4th episode of the World Cup series. ------------------------------------------------------------ Our Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/criccer Our Instagram ID: www.instagram.com/criccer Our Website: www.criccer.com (Under Construction) Contact With Us: [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------ Disclaimer: We maintained the YouTube Community Guideline while uploading this content.
