Developers Need To Think Before They Act (& The Community Too)

I believe developers need to think before they act - including communities. In this video, I talk (or rant) about emotional responses, dev communication, rushed & unhealthy decisions, and how communities can make these situations even worse. Using examples from Die of Death, Dandy’s World, and Forsaken, I go over why developers need to think long term before making decisions, but also why playerbases need to stop reacting instantly, harassing people, or pressuring devs into unhealthy choices. Disclaimer: this video is more opinion based than usual - as well as coming off more like a rant - but I still think there’s a real point here. Developers are human, players are human, and both sides need to think before acting.
