A fine selection; but it can be better: The New York Times commissioned a list of the 100 BEST FILMS OF THE 21ST CENTURY. One list was compiled by 500 industry professionals, and the other by the paper's readers. Andi, Eddy, and Schröck can't let that stand. So today, they're going through the industry list, knocking out three films and replacing them with three others. What follows is their usual exquisitely coordinated and meticulously structured discussion of films like REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, PADDINGTON 2, IRREVERSIBLE, and TROPIC THUNDER, with occasional detours to titles like DRIVE, RRR, and LA GRANDE BELLEZZA, venturing into the realms of BOYHOOD, BLACK PANTHER, GET OUT, OPPENHEIMER, and CAROL. In addition, we'll be discussing various other films on the list, while Sidney Sweeney, Zendaya, and the rest of the EUPHORIA cast will also get a chance to speak. We'll also be addressing the question of who we think we could seriously dub. All this after Eddie talks a bit about ECHO VALLEY, Andi raves about AUDITION, and Daniel, after discussing THE GODFATHER and JAWS: THE STORY BEHIND THE BLOCKBUSTER, gets onto the topic of dubbing.
