A video short compiled in early February 2019 depicting heavy commercial operation growth along the western border of the Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge. On September 15, 2018 US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) opened the Refuge to the public as a US District Court Judge considers evidence that USFWS did not comply with the NEPA law. USFWS touts an abundance of wildlife including the endangered Preble's Meadow Jumping Mouse at the Refuge. USFWS does not acknowledge unsafe levels of weapons-grade plutonium-239 at the Refuge. The weapons-grade plutonium-239 was a result of the former Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant accidents, activities and operations from 1951-1989. The Refuge is a former Superfund site that was not subjected to remediation.
