The shoulder is the joint and region that people typically have the most pain and discomfort, with the low back being the first. Limited of your lats can limit how far you can turn in your backswing and can limit your ability to achieve optimal overhead positions in a workout such as any pressing variation. Poor rotator cuff strength and shoulder stability can ultimately lead to tennis or golfers elbow because you are overusing your musculature along the elbow instead of the bigger muscles around your shoulder.
