IVF Journey #4: Pregnancy Weeks 5, 6, & 7

Our Story My husband Ryan and I struggled with infertility for about a year. In January 2018, I was diagnosed with a condition called Hydrosalpinx. In March 2018, I had to have both of my fallopian tubes removed. Therefore, the only way Ryan and I could conceive was through IVF. In May 2018, we started our first cycle of IVF. After completing our cycle of IVF, we had three embryos that were sent off for PGS testing. Our PGS testing results came back and only one out of the three embryos were chromosomally normal. We transferred our one and only embryo on August 20, 2018 and it was a success! We were finally pregnant! On May 6, 2019, we were blessed with our miracle baby girl, Brinley. She is now 19 months old and developing every day! We love her so much! We are now a family of three and enjoying parenthood! From January to August of 2020, we did a second and third round of IVF in hopes of giving Brinley a sibling. However, we found out that these cycles failed in June and August of 2020. Immediately following our last failed cycle, we changed IVF clinics. We began our fourth IVF cycle and found out in November of 2020 that we were pregnant! Baby #2 is due August 4, 2021.
