Samsung SmartThings Water Leak Sensor Setup as Leak Alarm The Samsung SmartThings Water Leak Sensor is setup as a leak alarm in this home automation video. By the end of this video, you'll be able to detect water leaks in your home. The Samsung SmartThings Water Leak Sensor is one of the many sensory devices sold by Samsung. This one is obviously built to detect water and to allow you to automate your life and your home to protect you from water damage. In the video above, I take the SmartThings Water Leak Sensor and get it set up within the SmartThings app on my iPhone. You could (of course) set it up on an Android device as well, but for this video I'm using an iOS device. Once I get it set up, I use it as part of my Samsung SmartThings Security SmartApp and integrate it into the leak section of that SmartApp. By the end of this video, I get notifications and an alarm in my home anytime my water leak sensor triggers. I can also tie this water leak sensor to any smart plug (including the Samsung SmartThings Outlet I purchased). I can, therefore, turn on my sump pump automatically to deal with the water and it will turn off after the water is cleared. As far as I'm concerned, we can completely automate a water leak with this Samsung SmartThings Water Leak Sensor and a smart home outlet. Thanks for watching, and please subscribe below!
