PART 2: Revolvers are viable option for folks like 80yo Harold who prefers something simpler to use

Harold was so comfortable his 1st time with a revolver, we ended the lesson by pushing him to shoot it as fast as he could manage at a 8x11 paper which simulates center mass. His 1st 6 shots, after the 1st shot, the rest of the shots were below the paper, as expected with folks who've never shot a gun fast and their tendency to push the gun down under stress. The advantage of moving our lessons outdoors in 2023, is being able to introduce new shooters like Harold to shooting fast, which is more realistic for people considering guns for home defense, than shooting slowly under no pressure at public ranges. I then would load the revolver with only 1-3 rounds at a time, without Harold knowing how many rounds or what order they're in the cylinder. This was a great exercise to teach Harold not to anticipate or care when the gun fires and just maintain a firm grip and manage the sights. He had no problem keeping all but 1 shot inside the paper at 5yds.
